“I had no experience playing tennis until I joined another club three years ago. I enjoy playing tennis as it’s fun technical and competitive. However, we don’t take it too seriously. Blaydon for me is all about the people – fun, friendly and genuinely nice people to play with.”
“I feel so lucky to have this super friendly club. Blaydon Tennis Club is my happy place! Almost four years ago I started my tennis journey. At the age of 54 I was a total beginner but I soon found a passion for this sport. With grit and determination I knew I could do this. Win or lose I always come away happy. I’ve made some amazing friends with people I would not have ordinarily crossed paths with.”
“The best thing about Blaydon Tennis Club is the people. I have made lifelong friends and feel lucky to have met such people. I first started playing tennis about 15 years ago. I could not hit a ball but preserved and have gradually made my way from the ladies 5th team to the ladies 2nd team. I enjoy playing tennis because it’s exercise without feeling like exercise.”
